Studies show there are physical and emotional health benefits for older adults who interact with younger people.
That benefit works both ways.
The pianists only complaint is that he cant perform for his neighbors more often.
“The residents have regular concerts with great artists here,” he says.
“And they are very busy.”
Artist-in-residence Gabby Clutter, a vocal performance major, says she has gained confidence from performing for Deerfields residents.
The septuagenarian describes as “magical” the New Year’s Eve gathering she attended alongside the couple.
