The long and short of it?

When you’re contsistently pushing through tough workouts, recovery is like your body’s godsend.

Just think of it as the ultimate reset button.

“When you’re working out, you’re doing damage to your body-especially when strength training.

You’re causing tiny tears in your muscles and increasing stress on your body.”

And the best way for it to do that?

Allowing it to rest.

A lot of it has to do with hormones too.

The way to reset your leptin levels-believe it or not-is breaking that strict diet and workout plan.

Consider this your reason to take an enjoyable rest day and some off-the-diet-radar meals.
