Our nations capital has a noon parade along Constitution Avenue.
The annual National Symphony Orchestra concert, featuring many guest stars, takes place at dusk.
The finale is Tchaikovskys masterwork, the 1812 Overture, which accompanies cannon fire and fireworks.
