Overall, 26% have less than $5,000 saved for retirement.

Generational experiences are also a factor.

The survey was conducted in English by Precision Opinion July 19 to July 25, 2016.

The sample was weighted by age within gender to reflect the population in the state of Washington ages 18-64.
