Department of Agriculture(USDA) announced.
The chicken was shipped to Costco distribution centers in Arizona, California, Colorado, Utah and Washington.
However, it may have later been distributed to stores in additional states.
The recalled products were sold in 80-ounce plastic bags containing 20 patties.
The problem was discovered after consumers complained about finding hard clear plastic embedded in the fully cooked chicken products.
Anyone who purchased the recalled chicken should throw it out or return it to the place of purchase.
